This Privacy Policy describes how Bitnova – Bitcoin Wallet handles information. Our app is designed with Zero-Collection by Design: during normal use, we do not collect, store, or share any personal information.
Wallet Data and Security
- Your private keys and 12-word recovery phrase remain stored locally on your device only.
- Bitnova is non-custodial: we never hold or access your funds.
- If you lose your recovery phrase, we cannot restore or recover your wallet.
- Blockchain transactions are irreversible. You are responsible for verifying transaction details.
Personal Data
We do not collect personal data in normal use. If you contact support, we only process the information you voluntarily provide (e.g., email).
Device Permissions
- Camera (optional): scan QR codes locally.
- Local storage: store encrypted wallet data and backups.
- Biometrics/Passcode: unlock the wallet locally; data managed by the OS.
- Network: connect to Bitcoin nodes or providers you choose.
No Sale / No Sharing / No Ads
We do not sell, share, or broker personal information. No advertising or profiling is performed.
Children’s Privacy
Bitnova Wallet is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
International Data Transfers
No routine transfers occur. Support emails may route internationally via standard infrastructure.
Regional Disclosures
- GDPR (EEA/UK/Switzerland): Rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object.
- CCPA/CPRA (USA): No sale or sharing; rights to know, delete, and opt-out.
- KVKK (Turkey): Rights under Turkish law for support correspondence.
- PIPL (China): No in-app collection; support handled only to respond.
- PDPL (Middle East): UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Israel respected.
- LGPD (Brazil) and Latin America: No in-app collection; support only.
- Other regions (Canada, Africa, Asia Pacific, Oceania): No in-app collection; support only.
Law Enforcement
We maintain no user databases. If served with a valid legal request, we can only provide support emails voluntarily sent to us.
Data Retention
- App use: no retention (no collection).
- Support emails: kept only as long as necessary to respond, then deleted or anonymized.
Export Compliance
The app uses standard encryption as required by Apple’s Export Compliance. No custom or restricted cryptography is implemented.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. Updates will be posted here with a revised date.
